Faculty of Humanities UNS is Holding a Seminar about How to Face Extremism
The faculty of Humanities UNS is holding a seminar on Wednesday, 2 nd November 2022, at Seminar Room Faculty of Humanities UNS in the 3 rd Building. The seminar is titled “Home, Land, Security Deradicalization and the Journey Back from Extremism” and this seminar explains further about extremism, how it happened, and how we deal with extremism. The guest star of this seminar is Carla Power, the author of the book “ If Ocean Were Ink ” and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. In the seminar, Carla Power tells a story which motivates her to write her book. She starts with her journey in Iran, interviewing extremists back then, and how she discovers an interesting way to deal with the extremists and even redeem them. Many students are enthusiastic about this seminar because they found it interesting and intriguing.
